Trade Helper (Fiberglass)

 

Basic Functions:

Assist in the repair of damaged fiberglass/composite surfaces, such as antennas and  radomes.

Major Duties:

  • Assist journeyman tradesman in a variety of composite/fiberglass assignments
  • Identifies weak or delaminated areas requiring repair
  • Cuts away damaged areas using the appropriate tools and proper techniques
  • Assist technician with restoring fiberglass in accordance with antenna/radome specifications and military requirements
  • Mixes and applies resins, hardeners and cloth in layers to match original configuration
  • Assist technician with cutting out and restoring copper screen and core materials as required
  • Keeps tradesman supplied with tools, materials, and equipment
  • Keep tools, equipment, shop and work sites in good clean orderly condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

Two years of experience required including trade or vocational schooling and some fiberglass/composite experience desired

Education:

            High School diploma or equivalent required

ENGINEERS, Electrical 

Senior Engineer to support a Federal Government client at our St. Inigoes, MD location. This position shall apply systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and/or evaluate Customs and Border Protection mobile or tower-based sensor systems (NIR & VIS cameras, radars, laser illuminators, ground-based acoustic sensors, etc.)

Job Summary:

  • Follow systematic processes to investigate, research, design, development, and test of system components/equipment/subsystems.
  • Apply systems engineering principles, to identify, isolate and resolve or circumvent systems engineering problems.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses reports, change proposals, systems specifications, test procedures, planning documents, operational concepts, and other technical documentation associated with initiating an In-Service Engineering Activity for remote sensor systems.
  • Utilize engineering experience to perform functions such as system installation/integration, configuration management, trade studies, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management in gaining approval for engineering changes to DHS tower systems.
  • Develop technical solutions to problems, implement enhancements, and upgrade C5ISR system architectures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, computer science, or another related field.
  • 5 or more years of general systems engineering or systems analysis experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Life Cycle processes.
  • Some travel is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of C5ISR sensor systems.
  • Certifications or experience in related information or sensor system technologies.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN network architecture, network topology and protocols, network cabling and interfaces.
  • Experience with OS virtualization and SAN architectures.

Education:

  • BA/BS

Clearance:

Engineer (Senior)

The successful candidate for our senior mechanical engineer position will have demonstrated multi-disciplinary product design experience in metals and composites, including requirements development, concept design, analysis, modeling and simulation, detail design, manufacturing support (both subtractive and additive), and in-service engineering support.  We are seeking a person that can work well with customers, engineers, designers, and production staff; can functionally manage projects, prepare estimates, and write analysis reports; and can mentor less-experienced engineers and engineering technicians.  We prefer a candidate that has performed mechanical and structural design of products that are required to operate in a dynamic environment, such as on ships, vehicles, or aircraft.

 

Education/Qualifications/ Experience

  1. Degreed Engineer (Mechanical, Structural) from an accredited university
  2. Supervising experience
  3. Previous DoD experience helpful
  4. 10 to 15 years of intense/focused design experience.

Job Description: Laborer/ Sheet Metal Position assists Engineering Technicians to provide sheet metal support in a shop environment and on installation
projects requiring more than one individual. General Experience: 1. Assist journeyman sheet metal tradesman in a variety of sheet metal fabrication
assignments. 2. Performs limited sheet metal tasks on own as knowledge and ability progresses. 3. Performs tasks that do not require journeyman skills.

6. Basic duties include filing sheet metal, deburring, countersinking, and drilling holes. 7. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Title: Machinist/ Eng Tech/ CNC Operator

Job Description: A professional machinist who is responsible for setup and operating machine tools to produce precision metal parts for: military shipboard, ground, or aircraft systems. Will work in a 50-man, highly-capable & modern shop, with integrated metal/plastic fabricating capabilities. Candidate will setup/program and perform machining operations to produce prototype or small production batches of parts. 1. Candidate will be capable of competent operation of legacy machine tools for production of precision parts; including lathes, milling machines, grinders and saws. 2. Candidates will be highly capable in use of CNC machines, including machining centers, lathes, and cutting machines. 3. Will review CAD file or printed drawings and specifications, and interface with design engineers, drafters, shop foreman, or technicians to plan each task assignment. 4. Will plan sequences of operations and make necessary calculations or do needed CAD file transfer or programming for setup of CNC machines. 5. Will be familiar with different materials (steel, aluminum, brass, etc.) and the impact to planning and machine programming. 6. Will inspect parts as required using appropriate techniques and types of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc) to assure adhering to the precision tolerances of specifications. 7. Other duties as assigned.

Education: 1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in performing the foregoing functions including CNC programming. 2. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 3. Completion of a technical school curriculum related to drafting and industrial metal fabrication; or other related course studies from an accredited college or university 4. .Must be capable of performing a variety of non-recurring tasks of a skilled nature. 5.
